FOME-COR® ENCORE® 100% Cotton Rag Foamboard has conservation properties unlike ordinary foam boards, it is constructed with pure, natural cotton fibers that contain no lignin, alum or harsh chemicals. Each facing paper has a pH balance of 8.2 + /- 0.5, and a calcium carbonate buffer. Its polystyrene foam core is chemically inert rendering it totally acid-free.
